Friday Feb. 24 2012 Ms. Sam Powell, district supervisor of the Oklahoma DOT conducted a safety seminar at the Legion Hall
on the proper, and SAFE way to clean up the litter from our adopted section U.S Highway 270

Adopt A Highway one and three tenths mile of highway U.S. 270 on both sides of the road
First Clean Up Scheduled for Saturday May 5'th 2012
There was a good turnout for our first adopt a highway
cleanup. Post Commander Tom Larson, adopt a highway chairman Tom Irish, first
vice Commander John Beauchamp, Barny Rosso, Stacy Garvin, John Dear, Auxiliary
member Angie Day,
and city employee volunteer Sheri Strickland showed up to participate. There were 18 bags of trash
picked up.
May 22 2012 Britt Trotter and Monte Williams from the sign division ODOT Antlers erected our Adopt a Highway sign. Present for the occasion was Highway Clean Up Chairman Tom Iris, 1st Vice Commander John Beauchamp, legion member John Dear and Sheri Strickland.
Saturday May 26 with the help of 19 Legionnaire's, Auxiliary members and volunteer's there were in excess of 500 Veterans graves in Elm Wood, Elm Park and Holy Rosary Cemetery's in Hartshorne, and an additional 55 graves in Adamson, Cole Chapel, Gown, and Sculpture Cemetery's that were decorated with an American Flag.
Pictured below is Post 180 Commander Tom Larsen, Americanism Officer Stacy Garvin along with Tyler Garrett, Justin Jefferson, and James Savage from the Hartshorne/Haleyville Schools and three students from the Clayton High School along with Folsom White of the American Legion Post 68. Jimmy Adams was the Haileyville Public School bus driver that transported the six students to Boys State at North Eastern University at Miami Oklahoma.

The Legion Post Hosted a Cub Scout fall festival\ AND DAY CAMP
at Hartshorne Lake there were about 40 Cub Scouts and sibling
The Boys had a great time there was a B B Gun range, archery
Horse shoes, Lord of the rings fight, sack race Rocket lunching, ring toss
the boys had hotdogs and chips and a pop for lunch.

Scouts had a great time at the camp-o-ree there were about 35 there all sorts of actives
